ANSWERS TO GROUP (A) QUESTIONS
1. Curriculum can be defined as all the learning programme provided to be taught in a school or it can be seen as a planned series of intended learning experience.
2. An individual trained under an area of technical specialization such as mind should be able to be self reliance and be able to train automobile technologist into vocational for further technological advancement.
3. 10 experiences in an individual trained under an area of specialization as yours should be able to be exposed to in order for such a person to be capable of doing what you expected them to be able to do are:
i. Have full technological experience in our various fields to serve technology students towards becoming self-reliance.
ii. Be able to contribute to technological development of the country.
iii. Be capable of being self-reliance and not depending on govt. work.
iv. Should experience a new curriculum which focus is on societal change as the society is dynamic.
v. Should be exposed to more advanced technology.
vi. Should be involve in curriculum planning that concern technical education.
vii. Should have more experience in our various fields to portray a good image of technical education to the society.
viii. Should be partners in progress with industries for technological advancement.
ix. Should experience a lot of practical skills for effective demonstration.
x. Should be expose to more oriented technology that meets the needs present society.
4. Five (5) Challenges affecting curriculum planning in vocational and technical education includes:
Lack of adequate equipment, societal difference in culture, religion and beliefs, inadequate trained teachers, the economy, and technological change with time.
